According Winnipeg Free Press, Madeleine Stowe has signed to star in The Christmas Hope, a TV Movie for the American cable network Lifetime. The Christmas Hope functions as the third part of a trilogy based on books by Donna Van Liere.
Produced by Craig Anderson, the film is being made by Winnipeg film production company Original Pictures.
In The Christmas Hope, Madeleine will play a mother grieving after the death of her teenage son and facing the dissolution of her marriage when she takes in a recently orphaned little girl.
James Remar will play Stowe’s husband. Madeleine Stowe and Remar played together in the 2004 thriller Blink. Cast also includes Beverly Hills 90210′s star Ian Ziering and newcomer Tori Barban in the part of the little girl.
The scheduled three-week shoot of the TV movie has started 2 days ago in Winnipeg.
