Saving Milly

Story

Based on the best-selling book and real-life journey of political journalist Morton Kondracke. The drama recounts his inspiring love story with his activist wife, Milly, and the dramatic change in their lives in the years after she is diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
Milly (Stowe) is successful in her job, has a wonderful marriage and great kids when she starts noticing that something is not quite right with her health. She notices tremors, and she and her husband Morton (Greenwood) go to see the first of several doctors.
This movie gives a glimpse of one woman’s meeting with Parkinsons; the medication, the operations, leaving the home she loves, fighting for research funding, watching her brain and body slowly withering away. It is also a tribute to determination, affection and dedication. Molly embraces life even as it slips through her fingers and with the total support of her family.
